Bloom Chemistry
[1] Genera - plural of genus, a category of classification in biology that ranks between the family level and the species level. Because there are many different species of bacteria that are difficult to distinguish, it is more useful to classify bacteria by genus rather than species.

Bloom Description
Volunteer reports: The HAB was in my zone as well as north or Ellis Point at least 3/4 mile. Was not a solid mass, but collecting on the downwind side of any shoreline contours or obstructions. Flat calm at time of siting. HAB was in close to shore, but streaks were further out. No rain for days. The wind picked up out of the NW and it all dispersed within a couple of hours.
