Bloom Description

2026 PRIORITY ZONE: Long Point State Park- identified by Cayuga County Health Department as a sample-collection site. Volunteer reported: HAB was streaky and located within 1-3 feet of the shoreline when I first arrived. Over the next 20 minutes it developed into a denser/thicker bloom extending much farther out into the water. Only observed around the boat launch and docks, not at swimming beach.
